LFR 2016

A buddy of mine recently completed the motorcycle safety class.  Since then he has received his updated license and been itching to ride. He didn't have a motorcycle so I let him ride my V Star. For the next few weekends, I introduced him to some interesting rides and destinations. Mt Baldy Village, Silverwood Lake, Crestline, Angeles Oaks, and Cooks Corner. He had a chance to practice his riding skills, develop confidence riding, and do something we Vultures do best, eat and drink. When we stopped, I would tell him stories of the Vulture adventures (and misadventures). He was hooked and wanted more!

As he started to share his stories with his family and friends, a unique opportunity came up. His brother wanted to sell his 2007 Honda VTX 1300. They worked out a deal where it was equitable for them. The one caveat was the motorcycle was in South Jordan, UT.

It has been a long time since my last LFR. I suggested he fly to Salt Lake City to pick up the bike and I will meet him for a LFR.  The trip itinerary was simple.  We meet in Torrey, UT, stay overnight and begin our adventure.  From our posting, this area of Utah is a place we frequent.  It is one of the best places to ride because it offers great scenic rides and destinations. Capital Reef, Bryce Canyon, the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas.
